DECEMBER MEETING – IN-PERSON
Wednesday December 21st at 8pm – Annual Member’s Competition and Social Evening
The theme or subject of this year’s competition is: “Patterns”. Each Member can submit up to three digital images on the subject / theme. Our judge is Darren Pullman and he will critique all the images and select the “best three.” Members present will vote to select 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.
The evening will continue with refreshments, etc. for Members and guests.
There will be a small charge for refreshments; drinks from the bar. If you are coming along please email secretary@hamptonhillps.org.

This was our regular picture sharing evening rearranged from September and we saw a range of images including recent work, plus some taken on our Bushy park photowalks over the summer and some of the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

“The Great Silk Road Today”: a presentation by David Smith LRPS CPAGB
David’s talk will cover both history and geography as he starts in Xian, the first capital of China, and follows the Great Silk Road to Istanbul, Turkey. More details here https://www.hamptonhillps.org.

FEBRUARY MEETING IN PERSON at the BELL INN
Wednesday February 15th at 8pm
This evening we have Sarah Titcombe presenting on the making of “Frozen Planet 2”. Sarah is Committee Member Charles’s daughter, and she was an Assistant Producer for the production. She will bring behind-the-scenes tales from some of the coldest corners of our planet during this one-hour talk, followed by a short Q&A. Sarah will be presenting to us via Zoom from Bristol.
Members are free; there is no charge for non-members on this occasion, but places are limited to 10 because of the size of the room. Pleased email secretary@hamptonhillps.org.uk to book a place.
