NEXT MEETING AT THE BELL INN
Wednesday 19th June at 8.00pm
Wild London: Discovering London’s Hidden Parks, Gardens and Wild Nature with Andrew Wilson.

Andrew is a publisher and photographer; a resident of Putney, which he loves, he photographs the beauty found all around us. Nature is never far away as far as Andrew is concerned and our glorious open spaces are a constant feature throughout his work; he’s often seen in the company of his springer spaniel Josie, who features in every book. Passionate about photography, he runs a thriving photography club – the Putney Satellite for London Independent Photography. He is also an active member of The Friends of Barnes Common, for whom he volunteers and sits on their committee.

As well as his own work, Andrew is helping another South West London resident and photographer, Joanna Jackson, publish her work and they have so far collaborated on A Year in the Life of Bushy Park and A Year in the Life of Kingston-upon-Thames.

LAST MEETING
Wednesday 15TH MAY
Close-up & Macro Photography with Derek Gale
Derek Gale has been a photographer for many years, enjoying both the film and digital eras.  Last month he gave his excellent talk on  Close-up & Macro Photography – a talk which had been requested by Members at the AGM!
The talk was much enjoyed and covered the equipment required, techniques, issues that arise – and how to solve them, and lighting techniques too.  We definitely recommend this talk.
And after Derek left the meeting, we all agreed that “Close-up & Macro” would be the subject / theme of our Christmas Competition.
